    Sarah Prikryl was born and raised in Austin, TX, but began her professional acting career  in Houston, Texas even before she graduated from University of St. Thomas (Cum Laude) with a B.A. in Drama and Communications.  Sarah was awarded outstanding Communications Graduate and was President of the University’s chapter of Alpha Psi Omega (the National Drama Honors Society).   She was also a member of the Communications, Philosophy and English Honors Societies. As an ambassador for the University, Sarah qualified all 4 years for the AFA National Tournament, (in competitive acting events), were she was a two year quarterfinalist, one year semifinalist and ranked 5th in the nation in Dramatic Interpretation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

    Professionally, Sarah has worked for Mainstreet Theater in their resident acting company, for the prestigious Alley Theater and for the Houston Shakespeare Festival as well as numerous other venues. Sarah has  performed in over 60 stage productions, but her favorite roles include Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, Perdita in A Winter’s Tale, Fran in House and Garden, Sandra in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Ghost of Christmas Past in a Christmas Carol, Helen in The 13th Chair, Madame Darbel in Eating Crow, Estelle in No Exit, Pavane in the world premiere of New York Minutes, Jo in Little Women, Dawn in the Universal Language, Annie in All My Sons, Shirley in Lady Be Good and Shelby in Steel Magnolias.  Sarah has had the pleasure of working under Gregory Boyd, Stephan Rayne, Micheal Wilson, Rob Bundy, Dr. Sidney Berger, Brian Byrnes, Jef Johnson and Chesley Krohn.

   

    In Houston, Sarah was represented by Pastorini-Bosby talent Agency. Her love of film and television has brought her to Los Angeles. Sarah looks forward to the premiere of IKLYM: the Shannon Douglas Story, which is a finalist in the Houston Independent Multicultural Film Festival and her latest project, the independent feature “11 minutes Ago” is in post production.  Sarah is a member of the Actors Equity Association as well as the Screen Actors Guild
